Our journey to pasture-raised poultry

Today was a big day for my kids and me. We took 100 of our chickens to be processed for their meat. This was a big step for us, as it will allow us to expand our chicken farm and sell more of our delicious, pasture-raised chicken to our community.

Taking the chickens to be processed was a valuable learning experience for my kids. They were able to see firsthand where their food comes from and how it is prepared for consumption. It was also a reminder to them (and to me) of the hard work and dedication that goes into raising chickens.

We chose to have our chickens processed at a local, family-owned facility. It was important to us to support a small business and to know that our chickens were being treated humanely. The process was efficient and the staff were kind and knowledgeable.

After the chickens were processed, we brought them back to the farm and stored them in our freezer. It was satisfying to see the fruits of our labor, all neatly packaged and ready to be enjoyed.

Expanding our chicken farm and being able to sell more of our chicken is an exciting step for us. We are grateful for the opportunity to do what we love and to provide our community with fresh, healthy meat. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our farm!
